Anchor Development (Anchor) is a privately held, family-owned business with local and diverse entrepreneurial roots dating back to the 1970’s. The family grew up in the Thousand Islands region along the St. Lawrence River and out of this upbringing emerged a unified appreciation for the community and customer, hard work, and the River.

Anchor was formed to provide business opportunities along the St. Lawrence River and the I-81 corridor by leveraging its strategic Wellesley Island location and its deep US-Canadian border knowledge with a sharp focus on International trade between the US and Canada.

Today, Anchor Development Corporation leases and manages warehouse, office, and storage facilities on its strategically located, 19-acre facility on Wellesley Island that sits between the two bridges connecting the United States and Canada.
