Joe Durand
Joe is the owner of several businesses located throughout central and northern New York. He has 40-years of professional engineering experience and leverages this expertise and experience across consulting engineering, LED light fixture manufacturing, and real estate. Joe is a licensed Professional Engineer and earned a B.S in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
At Anchor, Joe provides professional engineering expertise and strategic direction in support of Anchor’s transportation, warehousing, and business initiatives.
Rick Van Arnam
Rick is the founder and owner of a designated Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that provides Organizational Health consulting services, in partnership with Patrick Lencioni’s The Table Group, to CEO’s, executive teams, and their organizations. Rick has a diverse leadership background spanning the military and corporate sectors. A native of Watertown, he is a veteran of deployments to Panama and twice to Afghanistan retiring from the Army at the rank of Colonel. He earned an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and splits his time between the Thousand Islands and Wilmington, NC.
At Anchor, Rick provides strategic planning and execution expertise while assisting with business development initiatives to include fostering relationships with representatives of the U. S. and Canadian governments.
Jerry Durand
Jerry is a lifelong resident of the Thousand Islands region and an entrepreneur with a diverse business background. His experience includes the cable industry, commercial and heavy highway construction, and real estate. He has also over 15 years of work in the tourism industry with the ownership of two motels. His four years as a highway superintendent expanded his experience into the political arena as an elected official that served the Town of Alexandria. Currently he is the General Manager for Wellesley Island Market having been responsible for all aspects of the property’s revitalization and operation since concept.
At Anchor, Jerry is responsible the day-to-day operations across all facilities and maintenance, onsite relationships with tenants, and provides oversight to all storage and warehousing activities
